Call for Sessions
CITT/ICTS is now accepting session proposals for Rendez-vous 2025, to be held August 13 to 16, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
We welcome proposals on a variety of topics in all areas of production for the live entertainment industries, including, but not limited to, Technical and Production Management, Stage Technology, Stage Carpentry, Lighting, Sound, Video, Properties, Wardrobe, Design, Architecture, Health & Safety and EDI.
The committee encourages the inclusion of presentations with a focus on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) as well as on diversity initiatives for IBPoC identifying professionals and encourage topics that reflect on your perspective within the industry. CITT/ICTS recognizes the importance of these conversations during the conference in order to support and mentor a greater number of individuals in our industry.
Presentation formats
- Workshop* (one or two days max): Hands-on sharing of skills and expertise.
- Educational Session (60-90 min max): Share your knowledge on a specific subject.
- Panel discussion (120 min max): Bring together a main presenter or moderator with guest speakers to share their knowledge on a subject.
- Roundtable (120 min max): Bring together participants to discuss around a topic.

- 1-Day Workshops: Held on Wednesday August 13 only
- 2-Day Workshops: Held on Tuesday August 12 and Wednesday August 13 only
Additional Information
Broadcast and recording consent: In the event that Rendez-vous 2025 is held in a hybrid format (to be confirmed), we ask presenters to indicate whether they agree to have their session broadcast live and/or recorded for on-demand streaming purposes via the CITT/ICTS Video Library (not open to the public, exclusive to CITT/ICTS members). Consent given may be withdrawn at any time with notice sent to the committee prior to the opening of delegate registration (date to be determined).
Please note: As a not-for-profit organization, CITT/ICTS relies on funds raised through memberships and conference fees to support our programming. Rendez-vous not only serves as a fundraising opportunity for CITT/ICTS, but also provides a platform for members to come together, share knowledge, and support one another within the industry. Presenters whose submissions are selected for the conference program will be eligible for discounted or complimentary conference registration, including panelists. Please note that speakers are responsible for their own hotel and travel expenses. If these costs pose a barrier to your participation, we encourage you to contact us to discuss potential options.
