Job Description / Duties

POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a technician to work in partnership with the theatre manager. They will operate all technical aspects of the theatre including operation of the sound and lighting systems, camera and streaming equipment and projection systems.

Qualifications / Required Skills

REQUIRED AND PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
• University or college degree or equivalent experience specializing in technical theatre training is required.
• Knowledge of basic lighting design, and competence on the ETC ION consoles.
• Experience with digital sound consoles, and live mixing situations with emphasis on musical theatre.
• Experience working in theatre production, both backstage and front of house.
• Some projection, media playback and editing experience.
• Basic familiarity with computers, Microsoft and Adobe software.
• Some lifting and ladder work is required.
• Flexibility, energy and a positive attitude together with the ability to remain calm.
• Passion for theatre, performance and production and for instilling that love in students.
• Willingness to mentor students with support and training to integrate students as part of the crew.
• Commitment to and passion for the vision, mission and values of the Division.
• Flexible work hours including evenings and weekends is required.

Additional Information

comprehensive benefits package. Annual salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Salary: $51,615 - $59,370
