Job Description / Duties
We are looking for an experienced stage and theatre coordinator with a passion for bringing the Arts to life.
The Technical Theatre Coordinator is responsible for supporting the curricular and co-curricular Arts Department and managing performance spaces at the school.

- Oversee the technical requirements for all events led by the Arts Department including operating A/V, theatrical lighting and audio equipment, and assisting with set-buildling
- Coordinate with internal departments to schedule events and facility spaces for performance and musical productions including the set-up and tear-down requirements
- Support dramatic productions with painting and assembling sets, lighting design, audio support including lav mics and amplifiers
- Provide support for any staff or student training of theatre procedures and equipment
- Coordinate student leadership opportunities for Arts related roles such as set building, lighting, sound, backstage, front of house, and ushers to support student theatre skill development
- Liaise with the Director of Facilities to ensure the theatre and performance spaces are in good working order and advises on any recommended repairs or updates
- Provide support to the Business Development department by ensuring that equipment requests for theatre rentals are available and accessible
- Actively engage in staff and faculty meetings and professional development opportunities
- Participate in supervision, duty and evening and weekend events as required, including occasional evening and weekend responsibilities for school events
Qualifications / Required Skills
- Post secondary education in Technical Theatre Production or equivalent education and experience
- Has expert knowledge and technical experience in the function, design and operation of lighting, video, sound and rigging equipment
- Has demonstrated the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities accordingly
- Has experience navigating issues in a productive and solution-oriented manner, and demonstrates a positive and creative approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrates passion, creativity, and commitment to the role, team and the mission of the School
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- A growth mindset, curiosity and willingness to accept new perspectives
- Demonstrated experience as a team player and the desire to become fully immersed in the School’s positive and progressive culture
Salary: 50 - 60k
