Job Description / Duties
- Coordinate and work on technical elements for productions including class presentations, MainStage season and Family Series.
- Ordering of materials
- Crew scheduling for productions
- Set construction & builds (Set design an asset)
- Lighting design/hang & programming on a Chamsys Magic Q light board and work with Q lab an asset
- Stage Management an asset
- Coordinate multiple projects and their resources and deadlines at the same time
- Work with the team to create and manage standard operating procedures and systems.
- Act as a liaison with all production staff for technical requirements
- Attend all production meetings, technical rehearsals, note sessions, and staff meetings as scheduled
- Act as site lead for COVID-19 Protocols
- Maintain the technical and artistic integrity of all productions
- Oversee the set-up and strike of all technical elements for productions
- Coordinate and maintain shop spaces and its equipment inventory including props, costume storage, lighting
- General Maintenance
- Other duties as required by the Artistic Managing Director
Qualifications / Required Skills
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Background in technical theatre including set construction & builds, lighting hangs/design/programming and assisting in other production areas.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Strategic, action orientated and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- Thorough knowledge of Apple products, and AutoCAD or Vectorworks or other similar program, Q Lab and Champsys Magic Q light board essential
- The ability to interpret technical drawings
- Coordinate multiple projects and their resources and deadlines at the same time.
- Work with the team to create and manage Standard Operating Procedures and systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, extended work days, and weekends
- Must drive and have a vehicle
