Job Description / Duties
- The construction, installation, and maintenance of scenic elements
- Has a high standard of production quality, safety and artistry
- Maintains a clean and organized space
- Assists the technical director in costing, budgeting and scheduling the scenic elements
- Assists in the creation of construction plans and drawings
- Determines safe construction methods and working loads
- Researches, orders, and as needed shops for materials
- Attends production meetings, technical rehearsals and note sessions as scheduled
- Supervises and schedules additional labour required for the completion of all scenery
- Assists the head of props and other departments as required
- Supervises, schedules, trains and/or leads additional labour, casual staff and volunteers
Additional Information
Contract length: 4 weeks
Dates: June 27 – August 25, 2022
Fee: $900/week
Travel and Accommodations: Ship’s will provide travel to and from Parrsboro, NS, as well as accommodations.
