Job Description / Duties

What you’ll be doing:
● Production administration: Coordinating all aspects of production between the client, technicians, and management to produce a show on time and on budget.
● Creation and management of production budgets and schedules.
● Oversee production staff.
● Hiring of casual crew in consultation with the technical crew.
● Gather detailed production and show information and disseminate to technical
team members in a timely way.
● Provide exceptional customer service to all clients to assist with their work in The
Grand, acts as a role model for the technical team members.
● Coordinate the Occupational Health and Safety program within the Production
Department
● Set technical policies and standards for the operation of the theatre
● Maintain and coordinate an efficient production equipment maintenance program
supported by the technical crew, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date
inventories, purchase/upgrade wish list(s) for all technical and theatre equipment
● Oversee maintenance of the equipment and maintain the physical theatre in
clean, safe and secure working order.

Your educational background:
● 5+ years of live performing arts industry experience as a Production Manager and/or Production Manager
● Proven experience producing accurate show costing in a theatrical environment.
● An understanding of current production and technical practices within theatre including sound, lighting, projection and set construction.
● Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Vectorworks, Q-lab
● Ability to interpret technical and design drawings 

● Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), WHMIS and Employment Standards Act (ESA).
● Experience supervising staff and artisans.
● Budgeting experience.

Salary: Salary: Range $55,000-$70,000 annually, dependent on experience
