Job Description / Duties
The Dispatch Supervisor will work as a Dispatcher, as well as coordinate the schedules of other dispatchers to ensure coverage throughout the week, and help out with some paperwork and organizational tasks around the office. Dispatchers work with our software (MS Office online, and an industry-specific database) to assign workers to various positions on shows as required.
The role is envisaged as a 5 day a week, full-time position, in-person, in the office. However, there is flexibility, and we are willing to consider alternate arrangements, such as 4 days a week, or 3 days in-person and 2 days work-from-home.
The workday can vary in intensity, and sometimes there is deadline-induced stress. The successful candidate will be calm and organized under pressure. Familiarity with the live entertainment business is important, and a stage management, production coordinator, or similar background is highly desirable.
