Job Description / Duties

4th Line Theatre, an outdoor theatre company located in Millbrook, ONis currently looking for a Company Manager – HR & Events for the 2022 summer season.

Start date: May 23, 2022
End date: September 2, 2022 (15 weeks)
Remuneration: $17/hour; anticipated 35-40 hours/week

Responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
• Acting as the point person for the acting company and crew members for information about the company, its’ history, policies and procedures; maintains regular contact with acting company and crew members, performing regular check-ins with team members and meetings with management
• Arranges for and manages company activities that occur outside the rehearsal schedule such as dinners, parties, meetings and other celebrations; assists with management of 30th anniversary and corporate sponsor events held at the Winslow farm
• Acting as the primary liaison between company/crew members and billet homes including providing documents of conduct and expectations to company members
• Assembling and distributing welcome packages to all seasonal employees and collecting, organizing and archiving seasonal “communication bible” documents
• Fulfilling seasonal social media posts/networking tasks

Qualifications / Required Skills

• The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal skills, creative problem solving skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of multiple constituents
• The ideal candidate possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and has extensive experience in the areas of social media networking, human resources or team building activities
• The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, including event management experience with a strong attention to customer service excellence
• A valid Ontario drivers’ license is a requirement
• A car is a requirement
• Must enjoy working outdoors
• Ideal for a returning student in a Human Resources, Arts/Business Administration, or Event Management program

Additional Information

>4th Line Theatre can arrange temporary housing options for the length of the contract for out-of-town applicants.

>All staff, artists, contractors and volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, for not less than two weeks prior to attending anywhere 4th Line activities might occur.

Salary: $17/hour; anticipated 35-40 hours/week
