Assistant Lighting Designer
This position reports to the Technical Director and is part of the Production team.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Lighting Designer and Head Electrician in the creation of the lighting and special effects used to illuminate live stage performances
• Assist the Lighting Designer and Head Electrician during the creation of the lighting design
• Prepare floor plans, cue sheets, tracking sheets, plots and other forms for the documentation of the lighting design. Spot tracking for the musical
• Draft and up-date the lighting plot
• Aid in the supervision of the actual hanging and rigging of the lighting equipment
• Prepare and up-date the dimmer layouts, patch sheets, circuit lists
• Prepare an accurate sketch of all lamps as focused
• Maintain tracking information, cue sheets, and patch sheets during lighting sessions
Qualifications / Required Skills
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Vectorworks and Lightwright
• Knowledge of FocusTrack an asset
Additional Information
This contract position is located in Stratford, Ontario and will begin February 2020. Contract lengths will range from 2-6 months.

Salary: $820.00/week
