Job Description / Duties
4th Line Theatre is currently looking for two Assistant Directors for the summer 2020 productions of Alex Poch-Goldin’s The Great Shadow and Maja Ardal’s Wishful Seeing. These positions are administered through 4th Line Theatre’s Epic Women’s Directing project. Established, mid-career and emerging women directors are encouraged to submit.
Dates:
1) June 2, 2020 to July 2, 2020 (5 weeks)
2) July 7, 2020 to August 6, 2020 (5 weeks)
Responsibilities of this position will include:
•Assisting the Director during rehearsals
•Running rehearsal warm-ups and focus activities
•Helping distribute information to other theatre departments
•Communicating with cast and crew and theatre administration where needed
•Working with actors one-on-one and in groups to advance the vision of the Director
Qualifications / Required Skills
•Professional theatre experience in directing and/or stage management
•Is creative, curious and passionate about theatre and has the ability to work in a team environment
•Must enjoy working outdoors
Additional Information
*Housing for out-of-town artists can be arranged by the organization.
Salary: $600/week
