Scam emails offering visitor lists for purchase to our events EXPO-SCÈNE and Rendez-vous Annual Conference and Trade Show.
These offers are fraudulent. These scammers do not have any relationship with CITT/ICTS or with our events and they do NOT have the data they are attempting to sell.
CITT/ICTS is a member-based organization that provides its data to members only. We have never shared, rented, or sold our membership or events attendee lists to third parties and never will.
Hotel Booking Scam: We have also been informed that fraudsters are sending emails from "RESERVATION TEAM" and "HOTEL RESERVATION" claiming to be representatives able to obtain discounted hotel rooms for EXPO-SCÈNE and Rendez-vous Annual Conference and Trade Show. These individuals ARE NOT affiliated with CITT/ICTS and are not authorized to use our name, the name of our events, or the name of partner hotels. CITT/ICTS is responsible for obtaining discounted hotel rooms via our broker Road Rebel and they are advertised solely on our events webpages.
Please know that it is virtually impossible to shut these fraudsters down as they are relentless and continue to send messages under new email addresses. If you receive one of these emails, please BLOCK or MARK AS SPAM in your inbox and inform us promptly. Do not reply to them directly and do not click on any of the links.
It is possible that fraudsters copied our members email addresses directly from their Member Profile, for those who chose to make it visible to the public in the Member Directory.
Therefore, we have taken the decision to hide all email addresses from the PUBLIC Member Directory. From now on, only logged in members in good-standing and Admin are able to view our members email addresses.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this measure may have, however, it is, in our opinion, the best option to put a stop to these scams.
