What's New > PDM PROJECT WORKSHOPS
New workshop series on mental health and well-being.
Workshop 1: Tuesday, September 21, 7-8 pm (ET)
BUT WHAT ABOUT…? GETTING BACK TO WORK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PANDEMIC
with Professor Gene Moyle (Queensland University of Technology) and Matt Eldridge (Al & Malka Green Artists’ Health Centre)
Many of us feel anxious and hesitant about returning to the stage, studio or set for work. When will it happen, and what will it look like? We have been dealing with false starts and uncertainty, and some of us have not worked in 18 months and feel rusty and out of practice. In this workshop, we will talk about self-care tools and strategies to manage your mental health as you work, rehearse or perform in the COVID-19 environment. Through an active discussion, this workshop will cover ways to adapt and prepare yourself mentally for the “new normal.” Sign up to attend here.
Workshop 2: Wednesday, October 13, 7-8 pm (ET)
OUR CREATIVE SPACE, OUR SAFETY: PROMOTING WELL-BEING IN THE COVID-19 WORKPLACE
with Professor Gene Moyle (Queensland University of Technology), Matt Eldridge (Al & Malka Green Artists’ Health Centre), and Don Parman (Actsafe)
In this workshop, we will discuss the essential tools and strategies to ensure our studios, stages, and sets are safe in the COVID-19 environment. How do we adopt a new mindset for working and creating in this new environment? How do we mentally adapt to new procedures and protocols? How do we take agency and advocate for a safe workplace? Through an active discussion, the workshop will address these questions and more. Sign up to attend here.
