We are a few short weeks away Rendez-vous 2024, and I am excited to be in Saskatoon with many of our members.

This marks my inaugural Rendez-vous as the Executive Director, although I am no stranger to the conference having participated in many previous editions in the past.

I am very proud of the dedication exhibited by the Rendez-vous team, the local Saskatoon committee, and our Board of Directors in crafting an exceptional conference program, offering outstanding sessions and training opportunities. Additionally, we are excited to unveil an impressive lineup for our trade show, and I look forward to welcoming our vendors and attendees to the show floor on Thursday, August 15th at 11:00 am CST and on Friday, August 16th at 10:00 am CST, following the Loudspeaker Showcase starting at 8:30 am.

A notable addition this year is the introduction of the Pheedloop app. I am confident that both delegates and exhibitors will find this app intuitive and valuable. If you are a conference delegate, please check your email for instructions on how to download the application. If you have not received your invitation please contact us.

Once again, we are grateful for the participation of our student volunteers, who will be easily identifiable by their red shirts labelled "VOLUNTEER". Their commitment to supporting our conference is commendable, and I encourage you to approach them with any questions or expressions of gratitude throughout the event.

As in previous years, selected sessions will be recorded during the conference and made available on the CITT/ICTS Member Library afterward. Members will receive notification via emails regarding the availability of these recordings for viewing.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for August 17th, 2024 at 1pm CST and will be livestreamed via Zoom for those unable to attend in person. To register for the livestream please go here. Prior to and during the AGM, documents for Fiscal Year End 2024, including the year-end audit, will be available, digitally. Copies are available in advance of the AGM, upon request, starting August 1st, please email support@citt.org to request a copy. Following the meeting, there will be a plenary session from 2:45 pm CST to 4:15 pm CST, which will also be livestreamed using the same Zoom link. Anyone wishing to participate in-person or online is welcome.

The CITT/ICTS National Office will be closed from August 19th to 21st, during which time the job board will not be updated. However, job postings will continue during the week of the conference, but please anticipate delays.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has given their time to Rendez-vous so far, your support and encouragement has been invaluable. I would also like to thank our sponsors, delegates and exhibitors for choosing to spend some time with us during the final months of summer, I am aware of how precious that time is to many of us!
