Employers looking to hire students can get a subsidy of up to $7,500 for their salary till March 31st, 2022.
With funding from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), CHRC has launched the SWP Program for the cultural sector. This program aims to connect post-secondary institution students to Canadian cultural sector employers with wage subsidies for placements that offer students relevant work experience.
Post-secondary institution students will have the opportunity to apply learned skills through a paid position related to their field of study and/or develop skills that will allow them to integrate seamlessly into the workforce.
Employers looking to hire post-secondary institution students can apply today for pre-approval through the Employer Intake Form.
