PROGRAMMING CONTEST!
This programming contest is open to students enrolled in a secondary or higher education program in the US or Canada who will compete both for themselves and on behalf of their educational institution.
Submissions must be made to academy@actentertainment.com either by a student with a faculty sponsor copied or by the faculty sponsor directly on the student’s behalf – please include “grandMA3 Programming Contest 2021” in the subject line. Multiple submissions from the same institution will be accepted.
ACT Entertainment has developed a grandMA3 Show File (using Ayrton fixtures) that each contestant must use. We’ve also created a Magic Sheet for your reference. The fixture types cannot be changed or their positions altered. However, contestants may patch up to (12) additional fixtures of any type in any position (hanging positions for these additional fixtures may be added if so desired). To better define the scope of our contest, only lighting fixtures may be added; no video content, please.
All shows must be programmed on the soon-to-be-released grandMA3 v1.6 or later.
No submissions will be accepted before November 1st, 2021, or after January 31st, 2022.
