Job Description / Duties

4th Line Theatre, an outdoor theatre company located in Millbrook, Ont., is currently looking for a Wardrobe & Props Manager for the August 2021 production of Megan Murphy & Kate Suhr’s The Verandah Society, directed by Kim Blackwell.

• Working closely with the director, stage manager and performers
• Purchase and manage costumes and accessories for the production
• Arranging costume fittings, taking actors' measurements for garments and accessories, such as wigs, shoes and hats
• Shopping at fabric, craft, charity, and clothes shops
• Petty cash responsibilities
• Ensuring costumes and props are maintained throughout the performance including daily laundering
• Attending production, planning and other meetings and notes sessions as required, respond to show reports
• Assisting backstage with all costume and prop repairs and quick changes
• Arranging the proper storage of costumes and props when a production has finished

Qualifications / Required Skills

• The successful candidate will be creative, curious and passionate about theatre and have the ability to work well individually and in a team environment
• Must have sewing experience and is able to work well under pressure
• Must have strong organizational skills
• Creative problem solving ability
• A valid Ontario Driver’s License and clean driving abstract are required
• A car is a requirement
• Must enjoy working outdoors

Salary: $700/week
