Job Description / Duties
The Sound Engineer is responsible for audio set up, sound checks and the running and operation of sound and stage functions, including strike, for all productions, performances, events, and activities taking place at the amphitheatre. The operator is also in charge of managing and maintaining the sound equipment and working with the Production Manager to ensure proper sound needs are taken care of at all times.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Responsibilities:
-Organizing and running the technical sound equipment performances, productions, events, and activities taking place at the theatre.
-Follow a sound script for a live musical and multiple tribute performances
-Problem solve sound issues that arise during performances
-Helping guest artists load in, set up and sound check.
-Run sound board for optimal sound quality during performances
What we’re looking for:
-Technical experience or training
-Excellent knowledge of musical theatre and outdoor performance spaces
-Excellent sense of teamwork
-Excellent verbal communications skills with a strong attention to detail.
-Commitment to and experience working with an anti-racism and anti-oppression framework.
-Additional duties may be assigned as required through the growth of the organization.
