The Seaway Valley Theatre
Our base of operations is the Seaway Valley Theatre, a performance, event, and meeting venue located at 30 Sixth Street East in Cornwall. The former home of the Cornwall and District Navy Veterans Association, we acquired the building in June of 2020 and have since repurposed it into a theatre.

Founded in 2006, the Seaway Valley Theatre Company is a not-for-profit, non-professional theatre company based in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. We produce commercial, mainstream entertainment which aims to appeal to the broadest audience possible. At present we stage four plays per year: a Broadway style musical, a musical play for children, and two comedies with cabaret style seating. We’re currently in our sixteenth season.

Since our very first production, (a staging of Out of Order by Ray Cooney) we’ve always striven to feature the finest theatrical talent Cornwall and the surrounding area have to offer, both onstage and off. As such, we’ve earned the respect of both the performing arts community and the public at large. We’ve also worked diligently to cultivate close and mutually beneficial relationships with local businesses, service organizations, schools, and media outlets, all of which we greatly value.

Our Mission Statement
The purpose of the Seaway Valley Theatre Company is to enrich the mind and broaden the imagination through the experience of live community theatre.

The objectives of the company are to provide an outlet for musical and theatrical talents to the residents and families of the area and to create family entertainment, at acceptable costs, to the whole community.

As a not-for-profit group, all monies raised go into the SVTC's coffers to help offset costs of the next play. We have been successful so far, making a modest profit from all our shows to date. Local businesses have been generous in their donations and sponsorships for our productions.
