Plenary Session
Future Directions: Innovating Engagement at CITT/ICTS

Discussion

Join CITT/ICTS for an in-depth and engaging discussion about the organization! The plenary will be held just a few minutes after the 2024 CITT/ICTS AGM, in the same room.

Open to all conference delegates and CITT/ICTS members as well as interested future members.

Plenary Topic:

CITT/ICTS’s Rendez-vous annual conference and EXPO-SCÈNE trade show are important events for this member-driven organization, serving as potential dynamic platforms for growth, collaboration, and innovation. These events have the potential to offer unique opportunities to address the specific needs and aspirations of both individual members and the organization as a whole. These events provide opportunities for:

  • Networking and Collaboration: Bringing together theatre professionals, vendors and students, and fostering an environment where members can network with peers and industry leaders. By engaging with others who share similar passions and challenges, members can exchange ideas, discuss best practices, and find solutions to common issues.
  • Professional Development: These events feature workshops, panels, and presentations from industry experts about the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Exposure to New Resources: Trade shows provide a platform for exploring new products, services, and technologies that can benefit members.
  • Strengthening Community and Member Engagement: By participating in these events members feel more connected to the larger theatre community. This engagement helps to build a stronger, more cohesive community and fosters a sense of belonging among members.

Ensuring the success of these events at CITT/ICTS involves active and engaged participation from its members through active participation, the sharing of expertise and knowledge between members, development of mentorship opportunities, promoting and advocating for the industry and CITT/ICTS, and encouraging the next generation of theatre practitioners.

At this year’s plenary, immediately following the completion of the Annual General Meeting, we invite you to engage with us in further discovering the potential for both Rendez-vous and EXPO-SCÈNE as well as discussing their challenges.

  • What is the future of Rendez-vous and EXPO-SCÈNE?
  • What direction can CITT/ICTS take both events to ensure they serve their members well and provide what the membership believes is relevant and important?
