This roundtable is to discuss Technical Theatre Education for the 22nd Century. We are already 1/4 of the way into the 21st Century; the students of the last 25 years will be carrying forward the art form for the remainder of the century. How should we be preparing those who will be working into the 22nd Century? Other questions: What role with AR/VR/MR play in Technical Theatre training? Where does motion capture live in the world of technical theatre training? By the end of this Roundtable ideas about future needs of students and educators of Technical Theatre might be clearer. |

Presenter: April Viczko April Viczko is a performance designer in theatre, dance, and dance on film. She is a full member and past president of Associated Designers of Canada. She was the project lead for World Stage Design 2022 in Calgary. April is on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for OISTAT. On July first she was appointed to her second Chair of Drama at a Canadian U15 University, this time to the University of Alberta. |
