Building local and regional relationships to increase production value

Educational Session

This presentation will use the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre's production of The Lehman Trilogy as a case study for how theatre companies can build relationships and trade resources. The central scenic element of this production was a 17'x30' projection screen that could both fly and tilt. By developing relationships with local arts organizations and regional producing partners, RMTC accomplished this in a way that was both budget conscious and high in production value. This presentation will also discuss how the process of putting this onstage, from concept to end product.

After attending this presentation, attendees with a production background (PMs/TDs) will leave thinking about ways that they can build these relationships for their own companies. Attendees with a technical background (stage carpenters/riggers/automation) will see another unique use of automation.

NOTE: This session will be recorded for online streaming via the CITT/ICTS Video Library (members-only). No attendee will be filmed.
