About this Event
Please join CITT Alberta and Theatre Alberta in our second event geared towards helping your theatre transition from stage to streaming. This is a follow up to our introductory workshop that you can find here.
Rob Evans is returning to do a deep dive into the equipment and specifics how-tos to help take your theatre expertise and provide your audiences with a fantastic streamed product. A few of the topics that will be covered are:
- System Setup Best Practices
- Audio Live-Streaming Fundamentals
- Video Live-Streaming Fundamentals
- Types of Streaming Captures
- Hardware vs Software Encoders
- Streaming Platforms Options (Pro's and Con's)
- Networking Do's and Don'ts
This is a 4-day workshop, running for 4 hours each morning. One low cost gets you access to all 4-days. We recommend you attend our free introductory course, but if you feel you know the basics already, please join us for this advanced course. In the event that this workshop sells out, we will expand and have a second course in the afternoons.

About the presenter:
Rob Evans has been working in the Live Events and Entertainment industry for over 20 years. His career has spanned all points between being a volunteer with community groups, all the way to being the Director of Audio Visual for a multi-million dollar high-end hotel chain. Rob currently works with the Bert Church LIVE Theatre in Airdrie, he has worked there for 5 years, 3 of them as Technical Lead. Located next to Airdrie’s beautiful East Lake, Bert Church LIVE Theatre provides audiences with a unique opportunity to experience world renowned performers in a local setting.
