Job Description / Duties

DATES: August 1, 2010 – April 30, 2011

The University of Lethbridge, Department of Theatre & Dramatic Arts invites applications for a Term Academic Assistant in the area of Theatre Design. This position is subject to the approval of the Board of Governors.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include a combination of mainstage set design, and course instruction in the areas of Stagecraft, Design Fundamentals, and Design Techniques.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Candidates should hold an MFA in design for theatre, although a combination of teaching and professional experience will be considered as an equivalent. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the post-secondary level and professional experience would be an asset. Expertise in scenic design and lighting design would be preferred.
