CITT Alberta has arranged for Jenny Knott, a Product Manager of Scenic Paint and Coatings at Rosco Labs, to come and teach some sessions on various scenic paint and coating products. |
- Day 1, Monday March 27 will run in the afternoon and will be a presentation with actual samples passed around and then a hands on experience with mini projects focusing mostly on CrystalGel.
- Day 2, on Tuesday March 28 in the morning, will be an advanced class delving deeper into technique where participants will create a stained glass window while expanding on the techniques they practiced yesterday.

Sessions will take place at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton as part of the lead up to Backstage Access
To register for Day 1 please sign up via Backstage Access. Day 1 is open to everyone at a low price of $20+fees.
As the subject matter on the second day builds upon the training received on day 1, all experienced scenic artists wishing to take part will find their cost of $35+fees covers both days. Day 1 is limited to 15 people, with an additional 12 spots available for those taking the advanced 2-day training. Those wishing to sign up for Day 2 must email alberta@citt.org to request a code and further instructions. Please note: if you register using the code for the 2-day training your $35 includes attendance on both days. You do not need to sign up for Day 1 separately. CITT Alberta has worked with Theatre Alberta as a presenting partner in this workshop to help keep the costs affordable for all. Jenny is the Scenic Paint & Coating Product Manager at Rosco. A graduate from the University of Missouri, Kansas City with an MFA in Design and Technology, Jenny has been a freelance scenic artist for over 30 years – working for regional theatres including Missouri Rep (now KC Rep), Arena Stage, the Guthrie and Goodspeed Opera House as well as union scene shops. Jenny is a member of United Scenic Artists 829 as well as a past member of USITT’s Board of Directors. Jenny continues to paint, which keeps her current with emerging scenic artists and helps her discover new ways of approaching paint challenges.
