Ontario Section Tax Workshop

The Ontario Section of CITT/ICTS is hosting a Tax Workshop:
This will provide you with an introduction to taxation. We’ll be exploring some tax basics that everyone should know about including the impacts of: marriage/common law, moving, CPP and EI. We’ll then cover some of the basic business structures as well as some of the differences between being employed or self-employed.
Next we’ll introduce you to some of the basics of Business and taxes and things you need to be aware of including: the T2125, auto expenses, having a home office, capital cost allowance, and GST/HST.
We’ll finish up with an introduction to various investments and their tax implications in order to maximize your investment return. This section will include: RESP’s; RRSP’s versus TFSA’s, dividends and capital gains.
There will be time built in throughout the seminar for you to ask questions.
